Seven more dengue patients died across the country in the past 24 hours till Tuesday.



Seven more dengue patients died across the country in the past 24 hours till Tuesday (October 31), raising the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 1,348.

According to a statement of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), a total of 1,787 new dengue patients were hospitalized over the period.

Of the new cases, 413 are undergoing treatment at different hospitals in Dhaka and 1,374 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals outside Dhaka.

With the new cases, the total number of patients rose to 2,71,175, the statement said, adding: “This year, some 2,63,300 patients were released from different hospitals out of the total patients.”
