A bus was set on fire near the Jatiya Press Club at Segunbagicha area in Dhaka on Tuesday amid the three-day countrywide blockade enforced by BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami.

The incident took place when some unidentified arsonists torched the vehicle around 3:30pm.

Being informed, firefighters rushed there and doused the blaze within 10 minutes, said Ershad Hossain, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence control room.

Fire service sources said that a group of miscreants boarded on the vehicle disguising as passengers and torched the vehicle while they were getting off.
