One dies of dengue, 104 hospitalised

One dengue patient died while 104 persons were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the last 24 hours.


"During the period, 19 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka north city, 23 in Dhaka south city, 34 in Dhaka division (outside of the city corporations), 13 in Barishal division, seven in Chattogram division, three in Rajshahi division, two in Khulna division and three in Mymensingh division," said a press release, issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the last 24 hours, 153 dengue patients across the country have been discharged from hospitals, reports BSS.

This year, a total of 1, 00,868 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals while 570 people died of the disease, it added.

A total of 99,578 dengue patients have been discharged   this year.
