Bangladesh moves up 5 notches on global Covid recovery index

Bangladesh has ranked 5th out of 121 countries in the Nikkei Covid-19 Recovery Index.



Bangladesh has ranked 5th out of 121 countries in the Nikkei Covid-19 Recovery Index, moving up five notches from its previous spot. The index takes into account several factors including the country’s infection management and vaccination rates.

In March, Bangladesh had ranked 13 in the index, according to the latest rankings published on Thursday. 

The country, now leading among South Asian countries, scored 80 points, followed by Nepal which ranked 6th with a score of 79.
