A minor child drowned in a pond at Harinakunda upazila in Jhenidah district on Friday afternoon.



A minor child drowned in a pond at Harinakunda upazila in Jhenidah district on Friday afternoon.

Deceased was Tufan, 2, son of Jahangir Khondokar, a resident of Lakshmipur village under Bhayna union.

According to locals, the child fell down into a pond near the house while playing near its bank.

Later, family members recovered the body from the pond.
