War crimes accused Idris Ali Molla, who was prisoned inside central jail in Keraniganj, on the outskirts of Dhaka, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Saturday due to illness.

He was 62.

“Idris Ali Molla was rushed to the DMCH after he fell sick at the central jail around 10:15 am today. Later, duty doctors declared him dead,” said prison guard Md Ahsan Habib, who brought him to the hospital.

DMCH Police Camp In-charge Bacchu Mia said the body was kept at the hospital’s morgue for autopsy.
