Chattogram Hill Tracts Citizens Parishad Rangamati district unit organized the human chain in front of deputy commissioner's office on Thursday morning.

The speakers said that hill dwellers have been demanding for a long time to name the Naniarchar Bridge as Bir Shrestha Munsi Abdur Rauf Setu. But ignoring the demands of hill dwellers, the government issued a notice naming the bridge after Chunilal Dewan. The people of the areas were very shocked by this.
The speakers demanded the Naniarchar Bridge should be re-named as Bir Shrestha Munsi Abdur Rauf Bridge after canceling the notice to the government in honor of the freedom fighter.
