Another victim of Sitakunda oxygen plant explosion succumbed to his injuries at Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) Sunday night.
With this, the death toll from the Sitakunda oxygen plant fire rose to seven.
Nur Ullah Ashek, in-charge of the hospital police outpost, confirmed the news.
Probesh Lal Sharma, 55, of Sitakunda, breathed his last around 10pm at the intensive care unit of the hospital.
He suffered a head injury and underwent a surgery at the hospital.
The explosion at Seema Oxygen Plant in the Keshabpur area rocked nearby neighbourhoods on Saturday, leaving six people dead and more than 50 injured.
The other deceased were Salauddin, 33, of Lakshmipur; Ratan Nakrek, 50, of Netrakona; Md Kader Mia, 58, of Noakhali; Selim Richil, 39, Shamsul Alam, 65, and Md Farid, 32, of Sitakunda.
Meanwhile, Chattogram district administration has formed a seven-member committee to investigate the incident.
