2 children burnt to death in sleep by 'rival' in Feni

Two children were burnt to death in sleep after rival poured petrol and set their house on fire in Feni municipal area early Wednesday.

Two children were burnt to death in sleep after rival poured petrol and set their house on fire in Feni municipal area early Wednesday.
The relatives of the deceased claimed that the neighbour might have been killed them poring petrol over previous enemity. They want fair investigation of the incident.
Deceased Mohidul Islam Shahdat was the student of class VII and Rahadul Islam was class II. They were the children of Rony and Poly Akter.
Both the bodies were sent to Feni General Hospital morgue.
At about 1am, Rony and his wife found fire found fire at their children room and heard their children's cry for help. But the parents failed to save their children as the room was locked from outside.
Later, they found the burnt body of elder son Maidul on a bed and younger's under the bed. He succombed to his injuries on way to the hospital.
Legal steps will be taken after proper investigation , said Feni Model Police Station OC Md Shahidul Islam Chowdhury.
