Old woman's hanging body found in Kalapara

Patuakhali:  Police recovered the hanging body of an old woman named Akalima Begum (60) in Kalapara of Patuakhali. The body was recovered from Tegachia village of Mithaganj union of the upazila around 8:30 am on Sunday. She is wife of Anwar Hossain of that village.

The family claimed that she committed suicide by hanging herself with a tree in front of her house due to a family dispute. After the incident police recovered the body and sent to Patuakhali morgue for post-mortem. A UD case has been registered with Kalapara police station in this incident.

Kalapara police sub-inspector Tayebur Rahman said that he initially thinks that Akalima Begum chose suicide because of a family conflict. - Gofran Biswas Palash
