Patuakhali: Rear Admiral Abdullah Al Mamun Chowdhury, the new chairman of Payra Port Authority, interacted with the media workers. This exchange meeting was held in the conference room of the port at 4:30 pm on Thursday.

The outgoing chairman of the port, Rear Admiral Golam Sadek, member of Payra Port Authority (Administration and Finance) Sohrab Hossain, Member (Engineering and Development) Commodore Rajiv Tripura, Additional Public Relations Officer and Deputy Director (Traffic) Md. Azizur Rahman and other officials of the port were present.

Kalapara Press Club President Md. Humayun Kabir, former president Mejbah Uddin Mannu, former secretary Nessaruddin Ahmed Tipu, Sikder Jabir Hossain, Staff Reporter of Patuakhali district of Samoy TV, Jasim Parvez Ekhon TV Kalapara correspondent spoke in the view exchange meeting.

Earlier, press club president Md. Humayun Kabir and secretary SM Mosharef Hossain Mintu welcomed the new chairman of port authority, Rear Admiral Abdullah Al Mamun Chowdhury. And Kalapara Press Club presented gifts to the outgoing chairman.

Abdullah Al Mamun Chowdhury was appointed as the new chairman of Payra Port Authority in a notification signed by Abdullah Arif Mohammad, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration on January 14. Earlier he served as Area Commander of the Navy in Chittagong Region. The outgoing chairman of the port, Rear Admiral Goam Sadek, has reportedly been transferred to the Bangladesh Navy.

The new chairman of the port, Rear Admiral Abdullah Al Mamun Chowdhury said, 'Payra port is a priority project of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government.
