Youth shot dead in Khulna



Khulna, May 29 - A youth was gunned down by miscreants in the South end of Janakalyan School in Tutpara of Khulna city on Tuesday evening.

The deceased was identified as Roni Sardar, son of late Abdur Rab Sardar of Tutpara.

Khulna Sadar Police Station's Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Kamal Hossain Khan confirmed the matter saying that Roni was standing near Tutpara Janakalyan School at around 7pm.

At that moment, the miscreants shot him and fled on a motorcycle, leaving him critically injured, he said, adding that Roni succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.

The motive behind the murder could not be known immediately and no one was arrested, the OC added.-UNB
