Young man hacked to death by in-law over trivial matter



Pabna, June 06 - A 30-year-old man was hacked to death by his uncle-in-law over a trivial matter in Pabna’s Sadar upazila on Thursday.

The incident occurred at Daspara village of Chartarapur union of the upazila.

The deceased Habib Sardar was the son of Mokshed Sardar of the village. Pabna Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rawshan Ali confirmed the matter.

According to police and locals, the conflict began when Habib's mother-in-law’s goat ate a banana tree planted by his uncle-in-law Sirajul Islam Sardar.

After Siraj hit Habib's wife, he protested, leading Siraj to stab him before fleeing the scene. Habib succumbed to his injuries on way to Pabna General Hospital.

The OC stated that the murder is under investigation, and further details will be provided later.-UNB
