New DCs appointed in 34 districts

The interim government has appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in 34 districts.

The Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday issued a notification in this regard.

The appointment follows the earlier decision on Monday to appoint new DCs in 25 other districts. On August 20, the DCs from these districts were withdrawn.

The districts where new DCs have been appointed include Manikganj, Tangail, Sirajganj, Satkhira, Jhalakati, Pirojpur, Chuadanga, Netrakona, Rajbari, Jamalpur, Chapainawabganj, Laxmipur, Madaripur, Kishoreganj, Rajshahi, Brahmanbaria, Munshiganj, Shariatpur, Bagerhat, Patuakhali, Sunamganj, Bhola, Meherpur, Panchagarh, Jashore, Barguna, Narail, Nilphamari, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Barishal, Thakurgaon, Narsingdi, and Dinajpur.

With these, a total of 59 districts have received new DCs over the past two days, reports UNB.
