Farmer killed, wife injured during robbery in Natore

The victim, Harej Ali, died on the spot after being stabbed by the assailants, while his wife, sustained serious injuries



Natore, Sept 17 - A farmer was killed, and his wife was injured in an attack during a robbery at their home in Gurudaspur upazila, Natore, early Tuesday. 

The incident occurred around 4:30 am in the Bri-Chapila village of the upazila. Officer-in-Charge of Gurudaspur Police Station, Ujjal Hossain confirmed the incident.

The victim, Harej Ali, died on the spot after being stabbed by the assailants, while his wife, Oleda Begum, sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Upon realising the burglary, the couple raised an alarm and resisted, prompting the assailants to stab both Harej Ali and his wife.

Three suspects — Monirul, Masud, and Suman were arrested — following an immediate operation in the area.-UNB
