Ex-Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan Arrested

Former Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan was arrested on Monday night. The arrest took place at Room No. 833 of Bangladesh Specialised Hospital in Shyamoli, Dhaka.

Jatrabari Police Station's Officer-in-Charge, Md Faruque Ahmed, confirmed the arrest, noting that there are ongoing cases against Sujan at the Jatrabari Police Station. Legal proceedings are currently underway.

Sujan served as Minister of Railways from 2019 to 2023.
