Youth stabbed to death in Narayanganj
Narayanganj, 1 Jan -A 20-year-old young man was stabbed to death and two others were injured in an attack by miscreants during a New Year’s Eve concert in Fatullah area of Narayanganj district.
The deceased was identified as Hridoy, son of Habib Mia of Pagla Bou Bazar area.Shariful Islam, officer-in-charge of Fatullah Police Station, said Hridoy along with his friends were celebrating New Year’s Ever at a field at Pagla Bou Bazar Station area.
Around 12:15 am, a group of young men, numbering 7-8, appeared there, triggering a heated argument among them.
At one stage, they stabbed Hridoy with a sharp weapon and beat him and his friends up mercilessly.
Later, they were taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared Hridoy dead.
On information, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. Police are investigating the incident.
