The 11-party alliance has postponed its scheduled press conference, citing an unavoidable reason.
The briefing was originally set to take place at 4:30pm on Wednesday (14 January). The postponement was confirmed in a statement signed by Hamidur Rahman Azad, coordinator of the alliance.
According to the statement, the press conference could not be held at the announced time due to circumstances beyond control. The alliance said a revised date and time would be communicated later.
Earlier, Rashed Pradhan, vice-president and spokesperson of the National Democratic Party (NDP), a key partner in the alliance, had said the coalition would unveil its final seat allocation on Wednesday evening.
In a Facebook post, he noted that the long-anticipated final list of seats for the 11-party alliance ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election was expected to be announced at 4:30pm on Wednesday, 14 January.
