Two drug traffickers arrested in Ctg

Bangladesh Coast Guard has arrested two drug traffickers and recovered 112 cans of foreign beer from their possession during a drive in the Patenga area of the city.

 
On information, the Coast Guard Outpost Patenga carried out the operation in the vicinity of the Chinese Ghat near Patenga Police Station around 4 pm on Friday, said a press release issued by Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujan today, reports BSS.

The drive led to arrest of two individuals involved in drug trafficking, seizure of 112 cans of foreign beer worth Tk 78,400, cash Tk 6,020 and three mobile phones and a CNG-run auto rickshaw used for drug transportation, it said.

Legal procedure is underway in this regard, said the press release.
