3 held with 34-kg ganja in Thakurgaon, Kurigram

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested three alleged drug dealers with 34 kg of smuggled ganja from different places of Thakurgaon and Kurigram districts in the last 12 hours ending at 6 am today.

 
On a tip off, a team of the RAB-13’s Dinajpur Camp in a drive seized six kg of ganja and arrested a man from his house in Jalali village under Bhulli police station of Thakurgaon district 11:30 pm on Wednesday night, a press release said here this afternoon.
 
The detainee is Md Azizul Haque Dulal, 52, son of late Afaz Uddin of the same village in Thakurgaon district. 
 
In a separate raid, a team from the RAB-13’s Rangpur Camp seized 28 kg of ganja and arrested two persons red-handed from village Balatari under Phulbari police station of Kurigram district at 5.10 am on Thursday. 
 
The detainees are Md Mominul Haque, 40, son of Nurul Haque and Alma Wakadi alias Papiya Begum, 38, wife of Abdul Jalil, both are residents of the same village in Kurigram district.
  
After filing two separate cases against the arrested persons in these incidents, the elite force handed over them along with the seized ganja to the concerned police stations today, reports BSS.
