3 arrested with drugs in Kurigram
Kurigram, July 01 - Police arrested three people along with contraband Yaba pills and syrup in Rowmari and Phulbari upazils of Kurigram on Sunday.
The arrestees are Jahangir Hossain, 28, Abdul Jabbar, 43, and Meher Jamal, 40.
Additional Superintendent of district Police Ruhul Amin said, a police team conducted search operation on Rowmari-Jamalpur road in Konachipara village under Rowmari upazila on Sunday evening and arrested Jahangir with 100 Yaba pills.
In another drive, police also arrested Jabbar and Meher for carrying the contraband syrups in Dasiarchhara village under Phulbari upazila on Sunday morning, said the police officer.
The arrestees were sent to jail through a court, he added.-UNB
