Leaflets promoting a ‘Yes’ vote in the upcoming referendum will be distributed to every household across Dhaka Metropolitan City as part of a citywide awareness campaign.

The plan was discussed at a meeting held on Sunday at the office of the Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser, attended by senior officials from the local government and both Dhaka city corporations.

Under the campaign, drop-down banners, billboards on high-rise buildings, festoons on road islands, and stickers at various establishments will be installed throughout the city to encourage residents to support the referendum.

According to a handout, the initiative aims to motivate voters with the vision of building a democratic, humane and prosperous Bangladesh.

Senior officials overseeing local government affairs and consensus-building initiatives were also present at the meeting.
