“Bring anyone violating the electoral code of conduct during the upcoming election to justice without any delay,” he said while speaking as the chief guest at a meeting on law and order at Mymensingh City Corporation conference room this afternoon.
The adviser emphasized that no individual would be allowed to break election laws and instructed all election officials and law enforcement personnel to strictly follow the Representation of the People (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025, the Code of Conduct for Political Parties and Candidates in Parliamentary Elections, 2025, relevant circulars of the Ministry of Home Affairs, and directives of the Election Commission.
He called for regular briefings and meetings at district and metropolitan levels to ensure that all subordinate officers and employees remain fully aware about election related activities.
Stressing neutrality, he said that officials known to be partisan, controversial, or involved in irregularities in past elections must not be assigned any election duties.
The adviser highlighted the importance of the ‘Nirbachan Surakhya App (Election Protection App) 2026” developed by the National Telecommunication Monitoring Center (NTMC), saying it would play a key role in maintaining law and order by enabling quick reporting and resolution of election-related complaints.
He urged the authorities to complete training on the app promptly.
The Home Adviser also instructed officials to ensure proper preparation of polling stations, smooth access roads, timely transportation of ballot boxes and election materials, and overall logistical support to create a safe and festive election environment, reports BSS.
