Jamaat candidate Amir Hamza wins in Kushtia-3

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Amir Hamza has been elected unofficially from Kushtia-3 constituency in the 13th National Parliament Election.


He secured 182,476 votes while his nearest rival BNP candidate Md Jakir Hossain received 127,559 votes.

In the referendum, 234,879 voters cast 'Yes' votes while 65,289 others cast 'No' votes in this constituency.

The results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon in the capital today, reports BSS.
