The government has increased fuel prices at the consumer level once again, raising the retail cost of petrol, octane and kerosene by Tk5 per litre for June.

The decision was announced in a notification issued by the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources on Sunday night, citing adjustments in line with fluctuations in international fuel prices.

Under the revised pricing structure, diesel will now cost Tk115 per litre, octane Tk145, petrol Tk140 and kerosene Tk135 per litre.

The new rates came into effect from Monday (1 June).

This marks the latest adjustment in domestic fuel prices after an earlier hike introduced on 18 April. Authorities review fuel prices on a monthly basis, aligning local rates with trends in the global energy market.
