Brent crude futures fell 38 cents, or 0.38%, to $100.20 a barrel as of 20:31 GMT, shortly after New York markets closed. Prices had climbed as high as $101.51 earlier in the day.
The decline came after the IEA’s decision to speed up the release of emergency oil stocks, as well as prioritise diesel supplies, amid concerns over tightening global supplies linked to the US-Israel war on Iran, Reuters reported.
