HSC examinations have began across Bangladesh.

Dhaka, July 7 - Wednesday's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations in Chattogram, Rangamati and Cox's Bazar districts under the Chattogram Education Board have been postponed due to the prevailing flood situation.

According to separate notifications issued by the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee on Tuesday, the examinations scheduled for July 8 include the HSC, Alim, HSC (BMT), HSC (Vocational) and Diploma in Commerce examinations.

The committee said the decision was taken in view of the flood situation in the three districts.

However, the examinations will be held as scheduled under all other education boards across the country.

Under the Chattogram Education Board, examinations in Bandarban and Khagrachhari districts will also be held as planned.

A revised schedule for the postponed examinations will be announced later, the notification said. - UNB
