The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations will start on  Thursday (September 15).
This year’s SSC exams were scheduled to begin on June 19, but the sudden floods in the country’s north-east disrupted all preparations, prompting the authorities to suspend the exams.
This year, the SSC exams will be held in a new routine. In the revised routine, exam hour will be two hours instead of three hours and the exams will start at 11 am in lieu of 10 am.
According to the Education Ministry, a total of 20,21,868 students across the country are registered to participate in this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations.
