Students of Gono Bishwabidyalay in Savar have boycotted classes, demanding postponement of the semester final exams (April-2023).

They also locked the main gate and classrooms of the university at 10am on Tuesday (March 7).

Later, the students took position on the university campus and started chanting slogans.

The students said that the current semester (6 months) which started on December 12, 2022 was scheduled to end in April. However, the university administration issued a notification on March 5 that the examination will start from March 29, prompting the students to protest the decision that day.

Later, they gave a memorandum to the university administration yesterday demanding the postponement of the examination. The students started the protest again from Tuesday morning as their demands were not met.
