The Russian House in Dhaka participated in “Vasha Mela 2026”, a two-day exhibition marking International Mother Language Day, held on February 22–23 at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka.

The event brought together educational and cultural organisations committed to promoting multilingualism, intercultural dialogue, and respect for linguistic heritage around the world.

At its stand, the Russian House in Dhaka showcased information on the Russian language and culture, as well as educational opportunities and international humanitarian programmes. Presentations on Russian literature, history and contemporary cultural initiatives attracted significant interest from visitors.

Organisers said the exhibition aimed to foster greater appreciation for linguistic diversity and cultural exchange.

The Russian House thanked the organisers and visitors for their engagement, noting that participation in initiatives like Vasha Mela strengthens cultural cooperation and supports global language diversity.
