Printing press catches fire in Old Dhaka



Dhaka, Mar 15 - A fire broke out in a printing press at Patuatuli in Old Dhaka on Friday night.

The fire started at Zeenat Printing Works Ltd at 9:38 pm, said Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector of Fire Service and Civil Defence.

On information, six firefighting engines rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control at 10:50 pm, he added.

Members of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) also joined the effort with the firefighters to control the fire.

The reason and the extent of the damage from the fire are yet to be ascertained, said the officer.

No casualties were reported.-UNB
