A local Awami League office in Gazipur's Kapasia upazila was torched during a confrontation between party members and protesters on Sunday morning.

The clash began around 11:00 AM when Awami League supporters attempted to block a protest procession on the Dhaka-Kishoreganj Highway.
The altercation lasted for approximately an hour. Sazib Mia, duty officer at Kapasia Fire Service Station, reported that the front of the Awami League office and a nearby motorcycle were set on fire during the incident.
