Uttara restaurant fire under control

Firefighting units from Uttara, Tongi, Baridhara, Kurmitola, and Siddiq Bazar brought the fire under control around 2pm



Dhaka, Dec 20 - The fire that broke out at a restaurant in the capital's Uttara on Friday morning, has been brought under control, said a fire service official.

Twelve firefighting units from Uttara, Tongi, Baridhara, Kurmitola, and Siddiq Bazar brought the fire under control around 2pm, said Anwarul Islam, a warehouse inspector at the Fire Service and Civil Defence(FSCD) headquarters media cell.

So far, seven people have been rescued by the fire service officials.

Earlier, the fire broke out at Love Leen restaurant around 10:45am, he added.

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.-UNB
