20 houses destroyed in Narayanganj fire

At least 20 houses were gutted in a fire in Isdair area of Fatullah in Narayanganj last night. 


The fire originated from an electric short circuit from a house around 11 pm and soon engulfed the adjacent houses, said Senior Station Officer of Mandalpara Fire Service Md. Shahjahan.

Being informed, four fire fighter units from Mandalpara and Hajiganj Fire Service Stations rushed to the spot and doused the blaze under control after one hour effort, he said.

The total extent of the damage will be known after the investigation, reports BSS.
