Fire in Mohakhali’s Sattola Slum Brought Under Control

Fire fighters working to douse the blaze which broke out in the Sattola slum in Mohakhali, Dhaka, on 20 August afternoon.



A fire broke out at the Sattola slum in Mohakhali, Dhaka, this afternoon.

Firefighters reached the scene around 3:00pm, with eight units initially dispatched from Tejgaon Fire Station, three of which arrived promptly.

They were later joined by three more units from Tejgaon and two from Kurmitola Fire Station.

The teams acted swiftly, bringing the blaze under control by 3:18pm.

The extent of the damage is yet to be determined, and officials are expected to provide further updates.
