July Memorial set on fire in Pirojpur

Miscreants set the July Memorial on fire near Pirojpur Central Shaheed Minar in Sadar upazila of Pirojpur district early Saturday.


Rabiul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station, said some unidentified people set the ‘July Memorial’ on fire around 2 am.

A portion of the memorial was gutted in the fire.

A total of 64 July memorials were built in 64 districts commemorating the martyrs of the July uprising, reports UNB.
