Fire damages valuables of jute sack warehouses in Gazipur

Valuables of five jute sack warehouses were gutted in a fire which broke out at Bosta Patti in Tongi Bazar area of Gazipur early Tuesday.


Shahin Alam, senior station officer of Tongi Fire Service and civil Defense, said the fire broke out at a warehouse early in this morning and spread soon.

On information, three firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze after an hour.

An air-conditioner of a local mosque, adjacent to the warehouses was also gutted down.

However, the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be known immediately, reports UNB.
