This pangas fish weighing over 16 kg has been netted in Kuakata on Thursday.



Patuakhali: 16 kg 200 grams weighing Pangas was caught in a fishing net in the Bay of Bengal near Kuakata. This fish was caught in the hilsa net of the local fisherman Korban Mea on Thursday (October 5) morning.

Later, in order to sell the fish, a fish merchant named Shahabuddin called an auction.

Fisherman Md. Shahabuddin Faraji said that this fish were caught in the hilsa nets of fishermen in the Bay of Bengal. I bought the fish for sale. I hope the fish will be sold here, otherwise I will send it to Dhaka and sell it at a good profit.

Kalapara Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Apu Saha said that the implementation of the ban on fishing in the sea twice a year is creating opportunities for the reproduction and growth of many marine fish, including pangas, in addition to hilsa.
