27kg Katla fish sold at Tk 56,000

The fish was sold at Tk 56,600 in Daulatdia Ferry Ghat area on Friday morning.

A giant Katal fish, weighing 27.7kg, has been caught in the Padma River at Goalanda upazila in Rajbari district early Friday.

The fish was sold at Tk 56,600 in Daulatdia Ferry Ghat area in the morning.

Shahjahan Sheikh, a trader from Daulatdia Ghat, brought the fish for Tk 2,050 per Kg and he sold the fish at Tk 2100 per kg to a buyer in Dhaka.

Meanwhile a fisherman Akkas Ali netted the fish from the river at Daulatdia area of the upazila.
