The prices of vegetables and essential commodities have gone up in the capital’s kitchen markets.



The prices of vegetables and essential commodities have gone up in the capital’s kitchen markets.

Prices of vegetables have increased. Apart from vegetables, prices of sugar and chicken have increased.

During visit to the kitchen market of Mirpur-1 on Friday, it was seen that per kg brinjal was being sold from Tk 75 to Tk 100, ladys finger at 100, tomato at 120 and bean at 250.

Rouf Hoosain, a trader, said prices of all vegetables have increased due to high demand. There is not enough supply of vegetables in the market.
