Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club outsmarted the Old Dhaka team in a 4-1 match at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka.

Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society could not win its last match of Group-A in the ongoing Federation Cup Football 2022-24 on Tuesday as stronger Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club outsmarted the Old Dhaka team in a 4-1 match at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka.

The result of the match was vital for the Rahmatganj boys who are now at the bottom of the point table following the defeat. The Old Dhaka boys had a single point in their collection after a 2-2 tie match they played against Bangladesh Police Football Club in their first match of the group in the last month. A win or at least a tie would keep the Rahmatganj boys in a better place on the point table after the match.

In the match, Dimgba netted one for Sheikh Jamal DC in the 19th minute while Fahim extended the lead scoring his first in the 32nd minute and third in the third minute of the added time. Before that Sazzad found the net once in the 86th minute. In reply, Rahmatganj reduced the margin by one goal by Dawda in the second minute of the added time.

Fortis FC, on the other hand, succeeded in winning the match over Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra in a 3-1 match in Group-C at Birshreshtha Ft Lt Motiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.
