Muktijoddha, Baridhara split point in BPL

Dhaka, 13 May - Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra split points with Uttar Baridhara Club when their match ended in a 1-1 goal draw in the TVS Bangladesh Premier League Football held Friday at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj.

In the day's match, Japanese midfielder Soma Otani scored for Muktijoddha while Ivorian defender Youssouf Mory Bamba netted for Uttar Baridhara Club who trailed the first half by 0-1 goal.

Soma Otani put Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad ahead in the 27th minute while after the breather Uttar Baridhara Club staged a fight back as Youssouf Mory Bamba restored the parity in the 68th minute of the match.

With the day's outcome, Uttar Baridhara Club secured 12 points from 15 matches while the freedom fighters Muktijoddha Sangsad bagged eight points playing the same number of matches.

Earlier, in the first phase, Baridhara defeated Muktijoddha Sangsad KC by 2-1 goals in a match held at the same venue.
