Dhaka, 14 Jan -The Dhaka phase of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) begin tomorrow with one playoffs spot up to the grab still.
So far three teams -Rajshahi Warriors, Chattogram Royals and Sylhet Titans-
have made it to the playoffs.
Rangpur Riders who sit at the fourth spot is favourite to be the fourth and
last team to join the top three but Dhaka Capitals and Noakhali Express also
have the chance to gatecrash their party.
Rangpur have eight points in their kitty so far while Dhaka and Noakhali are
the bottom two places with four points each.
Noakhali Express however will take on Chattogram Royals to kick off the Dhaka
phase. In the day's other match, Rajshahi Warriors will face of Sylhet
Titans.
A victory will keep the Noakhali Express' slim play-off hopes alive while a
defeat end all hopes. The all-important tie, however, takes place at Mirpur
Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Friday afternoon when Dhaka
Capitals lock horns with Rangpur Riders
A victory will see Rangpur into the play-offs and eliminating Dhaka and
Noakhali in the process, provided the Noakhali Express are not already ousted
by then.BSS
