MP Mosharraf opens tree plantation in Kalapara

MP Mosharraf Hossain opens tree plantation programme in Kalapara on Sunday 5 July 2026.

Patuakhali: Patuakhali-4 constituency MP ABM Mosharraf Hossain inaugurated the tree plantation program-2026 on both sides of the canal in Kalapara, Patuakhali, from the sluice of the Sonirvor canal of Ward No. 1 of Mithaganj Union to the house of Kawsar Hawlader in the south.

The tree plantation program-2026 was inaugurated at 11 am on Sunday. As part of the 25 crore tree plantation program in 5 years, LGED Kalapara planted saplings of various species from Shishu Palli Academy to Choto Baliatoli Government Primary School.

Speaking as the chief guest, ABM Mosharraf Hossain said, 'This tree plantation program will play an important role in building a green, environmentally friendly and sustainable Bangladesh. May Bangladesh be green, may the next generation be safe.'

Among others present at the event were LGED's Kalapara Upazila Engineer  Md. Monirul Islam, Upazila BNP President Haji Humayun Sikder, General Secretary Advocate Hafizur Rahman Chunnu, Organizing Secretary Advocate Khandaker Nasir Uddin, Municipal BNP President Gazi Md.
