Settler Attacks Have Been Increasing by 36% Annually in the West Bank Since 2020.



Jeddah, 16-12-2025: The OIC Media Observatory on Israeli Crimes Against Palestinians recorded 78 settler attacks on Palestinian towns and villages between December 9 and 15, 2025. Settler attacks from 2020 to 2025 totaled 10,439, representing an average annual increase of 36%. The data reflects a consistent upward trend year after year. The increase confirmes that it was not a temporary or isolated incident, but rather a systematic pattern with rising levels of violence recorded annually.

During the past week, settlers grazed their livestock in the lands of Tubas, Hebron, Nablus, and several areas in Ramallah, and in the villages of Khala’il al-Luz, al-Maniya, al-Rashayda, and Kisan in Bethlehem. They demolished a barn, damaged another, and dismantled residential barns in the Bedouin community of al-Ka’abneh in Jericho after displacing its residents. They burned a house, five vehicles, an agricultural tractor, and a bulldozer. They stole 14 sheep in the Ramallah area, cut down and uprooted dozens of trees, and bulldozed agricultural lands.

On the same note, the number of settlement activities reached 17 activities in seven days, during which the occupation authourities approved the establishment of 19 new settlements, including settlements that were evacuated in 2005. It approved also the construction of 1,472 housing units on the lands of Jerusalem, Al-Quds, Ramallah and Bethlehem, and bulldozed lands under the administration of the Palestinian National Authority, with the aim of paving roads, expanding a new pastoral settlement outpost in Asira al-Qibliya, and paving a road to secure the settlers north of Salfit, and also bulldozed land near a settlement outpost in Ramallah.

Settlers placed a fence around land that the occupation forces had declared a buffer zone in the village of Al-Janiya in Ramallah, and they paved a settlement road, and bulldozed land between the villages of Awarta and Asira al-Qibliya to pave a settlement road. Settlers bulldozed lands in the village of Al-Sawiya to widen a settlement road, and set up mobile homes to expand a settlement between the town of Deir Dibwan and the village of Burqa, and other settlers began to expand a settlement outpost in the Huwara area of Hebron, and they set up tents in Jabal Qamas near the town of Beita twice in succession, built a wooden room on land north of the village of Kafr Qaddum, plowed and planted lands east of the village of Al-Mughayyir, and in the vicinity of Jericho, and the Bedouin community of Al-Muntar in Jerusalem, and in the village of Al-Jab’a in Bethlehem.

In the West Bank, the occupation forces carried out 388 raids, during which they killed 4 Palestinians, including a child in Jenin, and injured 24 people along with a child in Ramallah, and arrested 219 Palestinians and 4 children.

The occupation authorities demolished 10 homes, a car wash, a parking lot, a car repair shop, an auto accessories shop, a scrap yard, a commercial shop, a mobile room, land used for storing building materials, a barn, a park, a volleyball court, and a mobile home. They also bulldozed agricultural land in the Jerusalem, Ramallah, Nablus, and Qalqilya areas, destroyed stone walls, solar energy systems, and eight water tanks, and confiscated two vehicles. The occupation forces had also issued demolition orders for 25 buildings in the Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm.

Israeli occupation forces raided Birzeit University, the campus of Al-Quds University and its mosque, and detained a number of students during a raid on the town of Abu Dis. They also bulldozed a street near the orphanage in the Al-Safayen area of Al-Far’a refugee camp and raided the Al-Rihya Boys’ School in the village of Al-Rihya in Hebron.

Regarding attacks on mosques, a rabbi affixed a distorted scroll to the stones of the Cotton Gate leading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem’s Old City. Israeli forces expelled worshippers from the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron’s Old City after storming it, and raided the Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque during a raid on the city of Al-Bireh. In the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces continued their bombardment of northern Gaza, while an infant died from the extreme cold. Displaced people faced further hardship as heavy rains flooded tents for the second time this winter, destroying 27,000 tents. Several Palestinians were killed when dilapidated buildings collapsed on them during the storm. Israeli forces also arrested four fishermen off the coast of Khan Younis.

The number of Palestinian murdered during the period between December 9 and 15, 2025, reached 303 and 105 injured. The OIC Observatory recorded the murdering of 16 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip alone, and the injuring of 88 others, and the recovery of 6 bodies, and the confirmation of the murder of 227 Palestinians. The number of murdered since October 7, 2023 until the date of this report reached 71,768 murdered, and 180,408 injured. The total number of crimes during the past week reached 1,115 in various Palestinian areas, and the total number of crimes during 26 months reached 353,285. – OIC News
