World Handwashing Day observed in Kalapara
World hsndwashing Day was observed in Kalapara on Sunday 15 Oct 2023.
Patuakhali: World Handwashing Day-2023 was obsercved at Kalapara in Patuakhali. This year's motto on World Handwashing Day was 'Clean hands within your reach'.
On Sunday morning, on the occasion of the day, a colorful procession organized by the upazila administration and the department of public health and engineering. The procession ended at the upazila square after going round the city. School-college students, public representatives, government and private development organizations representatives took part in this procession.
A hand washing exhibition and discussion meeting was held after the procession. Upazila Parishad Chairman SM Rakibul Ahsan, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Chinmoy Howladar, Deputy Assistant Engineer of Upazila Public Health Engineering Directorate Md.
