Patuakhali: Six-year-old Jamila, a child with eye cancer in Patuakhali Kalapara. A poor day laborer father is now distraught after his daughter is diagnosed with eye cancer. The doctor said eight camo should be given to the eyes of baby Jamila. Each camo requires about twenty thousand taka, which is impossible for a day laborer father to buy.

Day laborer Sohel Howladar, a resident of Dhankhali village of Dhankhali union of the upazila, have a seven-month-old son, six-year-old daughter Jamila and his wife. But suddenly darkness descended on his world.

Jamila's father Sohel Howladar said that Jamila used to have fever and convulsions from childhood till three years. Kalapara doctor said it is due to fever. It will be fine if the fever goes down. Medicines were taken on doctor's advice. Then three years were good. At the beginning of March this year, if the eyes looked red and sunny, Dhaka Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital performed an eye surgery. After the operation, the doctor said that the operation was not successful. If there is tumor cancer in the eye, camo should be given. I am working as a day laborer and have not been able to collect much money. I came to collect some money and give a camo. I am currently undergoing treatment at Dhanmondi Ashiq palliative care unit TCU. He is seeking help from the hearty and wealthy people of the society to save the helpless father and daughter.
