Rakhine Museum inaugurated in Kuakata

Rakhine Museum was opened in Kuakata on Thursday.

Patuakhali: Rakhine Museum has been inaugurated in the tourist town of Kuakata. Kalapara UNO Md. Jahangir Hossain inaugurated the museum on Thursday afternoon.  After the inauguration, the invited guests toured the museum.

Md. Ansar Uddin Molla, Chairman of Latachapali Union Parishad, presided over the inauguration ceremony, Tourist Police Kuakata Zone Inspector Hasnain Parvez, former president of Kalapara Press Club Mejbah Uddin Mannu, priest of Misripara Buddha Bihar Uttam Mahathero among others were present.

The Rakhine Museum was established by Manglaching Rakhine, President of Misripara Seema Buddhist Bihar, in the area adjacent to Misripara Buddhist Bihar, which is famous as a tourist spot in Kuakata. .

The founder of the museum Mr. Manglaching Rakhine said, our Rakhine community is now on the road to abolish. So I took the initiative to establish the museum to preserve the history and traditions of the Rakhine people. Tourists can visit the museum and learn about Rakhine culture.

Kalapara UNO Md. Jahangir Hossain said that the Rakhine Museum in Kuakata will add a new dimension as a tourist attraction. Many people are interested in knowing and seeing Rakhines. Hopefully this museum will fulfill them. - Gofran Biswas Palash
