Govt makes dengue NS1 test free at public hospitals until Dec 31

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has directed that dengue NS1 tests will be provided free of charge at all government hospitals across the country until December 31, 2026.


The directive, issued through a ministry notification today, aims to ensure free access to the NS1 diagnostic test for suspected dengue patients during the ongoing dengue season.

The notification instructed all government hospitals to provide the test without charge through December 31 and asked the authorities concerned to take the necessary steps to implement the decision.

The ministry has sent the directive to the directors of medical college hospitals, civil surgeons, upazila health and family planning officers, and other relevant officials across the country for information and immediate necessary action, reports BSS.
