Prisoner dies in Dhaka Central Jail

Dhaka, Sept 27 - A prisoner at the Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj, died this morning after falling ill. 

The deceased, identified as Mamunur Rashid (46), became unwell at around 7:50 am inside the jail.

According to prison authorities, Mamunur was immediately rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital's emergency department at 9:30 am for treatment. Upon arrival, the on duty doctor declared him dead after conducting necessary examinations.

The body has been kept at DMCH morgue for autopsy, said Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH Police Outpost.-UNB
